Easter Egg Raffle

Each year, the club runs an Easter Egg raffle in conjunction with a number of retailers and publicans in the area and after deduction of costs, the profit from the egg is split on a 50:50 basis between the Lions club and any charity or good cause which the retailer chooses to support.   In many cases, the proprietor/licensee donates their half back to the Lions club giving us even more income than we would expect.

The event is now well established in the area and the income generated each year has helped some larger charities but probably more importantly, some small, unique causes often benefiting an individual or small group.   Last years eggs brought in the grand sum of £1410 with the individual participants raising the following sums and supporting the causes shown.

Remember: if you are in the area of any of the premises, do drop in and have a drink, coffee or something to eat and tell whoever serves you that you had seen their involvement in the Easter Egg raffle.   That simple act can help cement the relationships we have with the owners.
